I am Cody Brennan, and I started Just Right Moving in 2014. I grew up here on the Front Range, the kind of Colorado kid who learned to drive on icy I-25 mornings and spent summer nights at shows up at Red Rocks. Moving wasn’t the plan — it found me.
Before this I worked two ends of the business. First a big national van line: organized and insured, but you were a tracking number, and the guys who loaded you in Denver were never the guys who unloaded you. Then I jumped to a small two-guys-and-a-truck operation, thinking smaller meant it would actually care. Sometimes it did. Other times they showed up two hours late, a man short, with a truck that smelled like the last job, and a quote that quietly grew by the time the gate closed. Neither one was right.
So in 2014 I built the one I wanted to hire: big enough to be reliable, licensed, and properly insured — small enough that I still know every mover by name and answer the phone myself most days. That is the whole idea behind “Just Right.”
How we grew:
- 2014 — founded with one truck and a two-man crew, working apartment moves around Capitol Hill
- 2017 — added long-distance runs down I-25 and out over the Rockies; brought on our first full-time uniformed movers
- 2020 — opened our downtown office near Union Station and started handling high-rise jobs around Coors Field and LoDo
- 2024 — grew to eight trucks and about twelve full-time movers, still all our own
Here is the part I will not budge on: we own our trucks and the crews are ours. We do not subcontract your move out to whoever is cheap that week, and we are not a matching service handing you off to strangers. When you book Just Right Moving, my people are the ones who load it and drive it.
Denver is home. I know which downtown towers need a certificate of insurance before the freight elevator opens, I know the altitude makes stair work harder so we load in the cool of the morning, and I know to wrap against an afternoon hailstorm in June. We renew our Colorado PUC household-goods permit and our US DOT authority on schedule, every time. That is the company I wanted — so I built it.
