How is a flat price for my move worked out?
We build it from the home size, both ZIP codes, your date, and the access at each end, things like stairs, elevators, and how close the truck can park. Local jobs get either the hourly rate or a flat band; an out-of-state move gets one binding number written down before you commit. No fuzzy phone estimate that shifts on move day.
What should a local Denver move run me?
Our local rate is $149 an hour for two movers and a truck, with blankets, dollies, and tools already in the price. Three movers go for $209 an hour and usually clear a larger place faster. If you'd sooner have a single flat figure for the whole job, we'll write one of those up instead.
Is a deposit required to book?
Yes, $150 to hold your spot on the calendar, and it isn't an extra charge, it comes straight off your final total. We ask for it because a held date ties up a truck and crew we're then not offering anyone else that day.
Are you actually licensed and insured to move households?

Colorado runs household-goods movers through the Public Utilities Commission, so we hold a Colorado PUC Household Goods Mover permit plus US DOT / MC authority for interstate work, with coverage up to $1,000,000 cargo per shipment.
What do you do if a snow or hailstorm lands on move day?
Denver weather flips fast, so we plan ahead. In winter we load early ahead of the morning ice and watch the bomb-cyclone forecasts; if a road is genuinely unsafe we'll call and reschedule rather than risk your furniture or our crew. The altitude up at 5,280 feet makes carrying boxes up stairs harder than at sea level, another reason we load in the cooler hours, and in hail season we wrap everything before it leaves the house.
Are there things you simply won't transport?
A handful, mostly for safety and legal reasons. We can't take hazardous materials, propane tanks, gasoline or other flammables, ammunition, or anything corrosive. Live plants don't ride well so we leave those to you, same with perishable food. Tell us ahead and we'll help you sort out what to keep aside.
Can you handle a move into a Cherry Creek or downtown high-rise?
Definitely, we do those constantly. Most high-rises want a certificate of insurance on file before they'll free up the freight elevator, and some only allow loading in a fixed window. Send us the building's management contact and we'll get the COI over so nothing holds up your day.
On a cross-state move, is it truly your crew the entire way?

Yes, both short-term and overflow. If your closing slips or the new place isn't ready, we can hold your things and deliver them once you're set rather than force the timing. Just bring it up while we build your quote so we plan the truck and the space.
There's no elevator in my building, do walk-up stairs add a charge?
Stairs don't carry a surprise fee, but they do add time, and on an hourly job time is the cost. A third-floor walk-up in the Highlands takes longer than a ground-floor unit, so we'll often recommend a three-mover crew to bring the total back down. On a flat band we work all of that in up front so nothing surprises you.

Life happens, and Denver weather doesn't always cooperate. Give us at least 48 hours' notice and we'll shift your date with no penalty and your $150 deposit stays good. Same-day cancellations are harder since the crew and truck are already committed, so the earlier you reach us, the simpler it is.
