Moving later in life is a different job than moving a young family across town, and it deserves a slower clock. A lot of our senior moves involve leaving a longtime Park Hill or Wash Park home for something smaller or a community, and the hard part is rarely the lifting. It is deciding what comes along.
An unhurried pace, plus the parts you would rather not handle
We do not rush a senior move. We will spend the morning helping sort room by room, keep, donate, hand down, so the new place is right-sized and not crammed. What you are keeping, we pack carefully and label clearly so the new home is easy to settle into the first night. For everything that is not making the trip, we handle the donation runs to a local charity and haul away the rest, so you are not left with a garage full of furniture and no way to clear it. It is the kind of thing a right-sized crew has the patience to do, and a national van line on a tight schedule usually does not.
We also handle the small logistics that wear people out: getting the heavy furniture down a flight without anyone risking a fall, setting the bed up first so there is a place to rest at the new place, and keeping the boxes few enough that the smaller home is not buried on day one. If family is coordinating from Aurora or from out of state, we will keep them looped in by phone. Pricing follows the home, often the $630–$940 1-bedroom band or hourly at $149/hr for two movers, with the $150 deposit holding the date and applying to the total. Released-value coverage is standard at $0.60/lb, with full-value protection available. Just Right Moving moves the person, not just the boxes.
