Short-Term Holding & Storage

Sometimes the new place is not ready when the old lease ends, or you are between homes while a Front Range closing drags out. We hold your things in climate-controlled storage so the swing of a Denver day, sixty degrees at noon and freezing by dark, never touches your furniture.

How storage billing works

We bill storage by the calendar so you are not locked into a long contract for a short gap. Need it for a few nights between closings? We charge by the day. Looking at three or four weeks while the renovation finishes? We switch you to a weekly rate, which works out cheaper than daily once you cross about a week. The climate-controlled unit holds a steady temperature and humidity, which matters here because dry Mile-High air and big same-day swings are rough on wood, electronics, and leather left in a cold metal box. A piano, a leather sectional, or a flat-screen does not belong in an unheated unit through a Denver winter.

Everything goes in padded and wrapped, the same way it rode on the truck, and stays that way until you call for it. Loading into and out of storage runs at our standard hourly rates of $149/hr for two movers, and the $150 deposit holds your move dates on both ends. We keep an inventory of what went in so retrieval is quick when your Thornton or Littleton place is finally ready, and the same crew that stored it pulls it back out. Just Right Moving stores it under one roof, no third-party warehouse middleman in the chain.

What Denver Customers Tell Us After

★★★★★

“Small studio in LoHi, but a tight stairwell. Two movers, in and out in under three hours, and the hourly rate held exactly to the estimate.”

“Moved from Aurora down to Colorado Springs and the thing that sold me was the crew. The same two guys who loaded the truck in my driveway that morning were the ones who unloaded it 70 miles south on I-25. No mystery driver. No swapped-out crew at a depot. They padded everything for the highway so nothing shifted on the drive down. Every box and every piece of furniture showed up exactly how it went in. The binding quote they wrote up never budged a dollar, even though the unload took longer than expected. After a bad experience with a national van line years ago, this was the move I wish I'd always had.”

“A spring hailstorm blew in off the foothills right as they were carrying my Sloan's Lake furniture out to the truck. The crew didn't panic. They pulled extra wrap and pads out, covered the upholstered pieces, and moved the load timing around so nothing sat exposed. We waited out the worst of it for about fifteen minutes under the truck's ramp awning. Once the cell passed they picked right back up and finished the job. Nothing got water-marked, nothing got dented by the hail. They clearly watch the afternoon storm window the way you have to in Denver. That kind of judgment is exactly why I'd hire them again without shopping around.”

Service FAQ

Am I stuck paying a full month when I only need a few days?
Not at all. We charge by the day for short gaps and switch to weekly for longer ones. There's no thirty-day commitment just because your closing date slipped a little.
Is climate-controlled space actually worth it here in Denver?
It is. The Mile-High air runs dry and the temperature can move forty degrees between noon and midnight. Controlled storage keeps that swing away from your wood, electronics, and leather.
At what point does paying weekly beat paying daily?
Around the one-week mark. Four nights is cheaper on the daily rate, but three weeks waiting on a renovation tips it firmly to the weekly rate.
How quickly can I get my things back out of storage?
Fast. We log everything on the way in, so once your Highlands Ranch or Lakewood place is ready we know precisely what to grab and reload onto the truck.
